3. It decreases stress. Many women come to me as stressed out moms, and many of them complain about stress eating. Meditation is a powerful way to decrease that stress and related bad habits. 

4. It improves your memory, attention, and focus. In other words, meditation strengthens your brain. 

5. It benefits your body in ways we don't totally understand. Positive effects include helping to counteract heart disease, osteoporosis, sleep problems, digestive problems, depression, and obesity. 

6. It is good for our relationships. Couples say that they become more loving when they meditate. (No, I have not gotten my husband to meditate; I'm just sharing the scientific facts.)
